Record a business expense

Record a business expense, like rent, salaries or bills, on the Reports page under "Overhead".

Before you start: The business owner, or staff who can open Reports.

Steps

  1. Open Reports (on a phone: More, then Reports). Tap "Overhead", then "+ Add expense".
  2. Pick the "Category" and type the amount. Then pick the "Payment method".
  3. Check the "Date". Under "Description (optional)", you can type a note, like April rent.
  4. For rent or a salary, pick "Monthly — remind after 30 days" under "Recurring? (drives reminders)". Then tap "Add".
  5. After 30 days, the expense shows under "Needs logging". Tap "Log now" to add it again.

If this does not work

  • You do not see Reports: ask the business owner.
  • A tax or GST question about an expense: ask the petboard team.
