A consultation by a veterinary clinic is exempt under Notification 12/2017-Central Tax (Rate), Sl. No. 46. Medicines you dispense, and any boarding, daycare or grooming, are separate taxable lines. Your CA makes the call on each service. An exempt-line invoice format is drafted and pending CA sign-off; until it is live, bill consultations from your current tool and keep the clinical record in petboard.

Only a person registered as the clinic's veterinarian in petboard, with their council registration number on file. Front-desk staff can print a prescription that has been written; they cannot write one.
