Pricing

petboard is in beta and free for every operator through Jun 30, 2026. After beta, three tiers: Solo ₹199, Growth ₹499, Pro ₹999 per month. The first 50 operators (cohort 1) locked these rates forever. Cohort 1 closed on May 15, 2026. New signups today pay the same starting rates, but the forever-lock guarantee is no longer available.

The three tiers

You pick a tier at signup based on how many active pets you run.

  • Solo ₹199/mo. Up to 5 active pets per month. Home boarders, trainers, groomers, pet sitters, pool operators.
  • Growth ₹499/mo. Up to 20 active pets per month. Facilities, daycares, training centers, grooming salons, multi-service ops.
  • Pro ₹999/mo. Unlimited pets. High-volume operations and sitter networks running across cities.

What counts as an active pet?

Cohort 1 (closed May 15, 2026): the first 50 operators who signed up locked these rates forever. Their tier prices never go up, even as we add features or raise prices for new customers. New signups today pay the same starting rates but they are subject to future change.

What counts as an active pet?

An active pet is any pet in your account with at least 1 booking touching the current calendar month, across any service type, in any status except cancelled. Your full pet records stay forever. petboard never auto-archives.

How we measure. We compute the count as the number of distinct pet IDs in your account that have at least 1 associated booking whose date range touches the current calendar month, across any service type (boarding, daycare, training, sitting, grooming, appointments), where the booking status is anything except cancelled. The count refreshes daily and will be visible in Settings, Plan & Billing once that surface ships in June 2026.

Cohort 1 grandfather. For the 50 operators in cohort 1, this active-pet definition cannot be tightened. Any future tightening applies only to new signups, not cohort 1.

What's included in your tier

Every feature on our landing page, on each /for/* persona page, and on /how-it-works is covered by your tier price. For cohort 1 operators, that scope is frozen at their signup date. For new operators, scope is current as of today and feature inclusion is subject to future product decisions.

Examples of what's included: intake forms, WhatsApp photo/video updates, parent stay pages, training progress tracking, payment tracking, peak/seasonal pricing, care schedules, staff magic links, sitter matching, kennel slot grid, incident log, morning digest emails, DPDP compliance, data export/deletion. Plan changes within tiers. Move Solo → Growth → Pro any time. You pay the rate for the tier you're on. Move back down, same rule. If you are a cohort 1 operator, your original tier's founder rate is still locked if you return to it.

Your data stays yours. No lock-in, ever.

Go to Settings, Advanced, Data & Privacy. Click Download. You get a zip with CSVs (clients, pets, bookings, payments, intakes, training, expenses) plus the full JSON snapshot of every row we hold. Open the CSVs in Excel or Google Sheets. Re-import the JSON into any system that accepts it.

This is not on a roadmap. It ships live today. If we ever disappear, your ops history is one click away from being somewhere else.

Premium modules (add-ons)

Some capabilities are substantial enough that we build them as separate premium modules. These are not included in any tier price. They activate as add-ons on top of your tier, priced at their list price when they launch. List price applies to everyone including cohort 1 founders. The cohort 1 tier-lock covers the base subscription price only, not modules.

  • • Retail / point-of-sale: SKU + inventory + vendors + sell-flow. For operators who sell pet products in-store.
  • • Accounts + multi-role: multi-brand accounts + role-based staff permissions (Owner / Manager / Caretaker / Sitter).
  • • Future premium capabilities will be added here as they ship.

Pricing for each module publishes when the module launches. You choose whether to activate. Modules aren't bundled by default. If you want bundled pricing across multiple modules or custom scope, that's the Enterprise path below. Quarterly or annual engagement with custom pricing.

The first 50 operators signed up under a forever-lock guarantee. Cohort 1 closed on May 15, 2026 with all 50 slots filled. Those operators stay at their signup rates (Solo ₹199 / Growth ₹499 / Pro ₹999) regardless of any future pricing changes.

New signups today pay the same starting rates of ₹199 / ₹499 / ₹999 per month. Those rates are subject to change as petboard adds capabilities and the market evolves. We don't pre-commit to a future number. We publish any change with at least 30 days notice and we never raise rates retroactively.

Multi-location / custom scope (Enterprise)

If you run multi-location operations, need white-glove migration off another tool, or want scope beyond what Pro tier covers. We handle that as a custom engagement. Pricing scales with scope; payment terms are quarterly or annual.

I signed up after May 15, 2026 — what protection do I get?
You pay the same starting tier rates as cohort 1 (₹199 / ₹499 / ₹999) but those rates are not contractually locked the way cohort 1 is. If petboard raises tier prices in future, the new rates apply at renewal. We publish any change with at least 30 days notice and never raise rates retroactively. Cohort 1 operators stay at their signup rate regardless.
Are premium modules included in my tier?
No. Premium modules like Retail (point-of-sale, inventory, vendors) and Accounts + multi-role (multi-brand accounts and role-based staff permissions) are priced separately as add-ons. They are not bundled into any tier. List price applies to everyone including cohort 1 founders; your tier base price stays at the rate you signed up at if you are a cohort 1 operator.
Can I change tiers after signing up?
Yes. Move Solo → Growth → Pro any time, or move back down. You pay the rate for whichever tier you are on. If you are a cohort 1 operator, the original tier founder rate is preserved if you return to it later.
When does billing start?
petboard is free for every operator during beta through Jun 30, 2026. No credit card required to sign up during the free beta period. After beta, tier billing begins for every operator at the rates shown above.
