How we got these numbers
These are the prices that 129 pet businesses on petboard have set in their price list, as of 18 October 2026. They are listed prices, not what customers actually paid. Discounts, offers, festival rates and special prices for one client are not included.
Of the 129 businesses, 10 are in Bengaluru, 15 in Delhi NCR and 16 in the Mumbai region. The other 88 are in other cities, or in a city we could not confirm (13 of them), so they appear only in the All India rows. A city gets its own row only when at least 10 businesses there list a price. City figures come from 10 to 14 businesses each, so small gaps between cities may not be real. This is not a survey of every pet business in India, and businesses on petboard may not be typical.
For each business we took one price for each service: its lowest standard price. A business with more than one brand or branch counts once.
We used only prices for the unit shown: a night, a day, a session, a visit or one grooming service. For daycare, "a day" leaves out half-day prices, so a business with only a half-day price is not in the daycare row. If a business has set price options for a service, we used those options and not its basic rate, because the options are what go on its bills. For grooming, the lowest price may be for a smaller service, such as a bath, rather than a full groom. We treated prices under ₹100 as test or placeholder entries, such as ₹1, ₹10 or ₹50, and left them out. Prices include GST where petboard adds GST to the bill.
"Median" is the middle price: half the businesses list less and half list more. "Middle half" is the range that the middle half of businesses list.
A service gets its own row only when at least 10 businesses list a price for it. Prices are rounded to the nearest ₹50 (to the nearest ₹100 from ₹1,000 upward).
We do not show any business's name or its own prices. We did not use any pet parent's details or any bookings.
This is information, not advice. Every business sets its own prices.

How to use these numbers
If you run a pet business: start from your own costs, not from this table. Work out what one dog costs you for a day or a night, including rent, staff, food and your own pay, then add a buffer for slow months. The daycare pricing guide shows how to work out your cost per dog per day. Use the Index to see where listed prices sit, not to decide what you should charge.
If you are a pet parent: use the Index to see what businesses on petboard list before you call around. A business's lowest listed price is a starting price. The bill can be higher for a large dog, a private room, extra walks or a festival week. The dog boarding cost guide explains what changes the bill. Ask each place for a written quote before you book.
